• Shakespearean Plays: Excerpts defining setting, characterisation, themes,  and literary devices in 'The Merchant of Venice (Comedy)'

• Prose / Novels: Excerpts defining setting, atmosphere / mood, characterisation and themes in 'To Kill a Mocking Bird,' 'Sense of Belonging' and other prose extracts

• Poems: Selected poems featuring a range of literary devices and themes

• Literature question answering techniques: Students will learn the format and techniques of answering literature essay questions
